Account Executive - Sales

The Account Executive identifies, qualifies and sells Volo products and services to customers and prospects in the Private Sector, while maintaining successful relationships with clients beyond the initial sale.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required: Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires 3 +years experience in direct or indirect sales
  • Demonstrated history of achieving $300+ annually in sales revenue
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years of sales or account management experience
  • A self starter, able to work independently and collaborate with management (possibly in different time zones)

Preferred:

  • Candidates who are multilingual are an asset (French or Spanish)
  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • Prior experience in adventure product market

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Directly interact with customers and prospects to position the value of Volo Products and Services as supported by ROI, business case development, references, and supporting analyst data
  • Responsible for reaching quarterly metrics set by management (call volume, field visits, etc.)
  • Manage pipeline of global sales opportunities on an ongoing basis
  • Update CRM with accurate customer and pipeline information, maintain contact and mailing lists, including customer satisfaction survey contacts
  • Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports, etc.
  • Achieve quarterly sales revenue targets and manage forecast up-line
  • Active Demand Generation: Prospect for new business utilizing the Volo resources which may include submission of RFP’s and RFI’s as appropriate
  • Generate leads from marketing events/lists and move along sales cycle
  • Perform campaign planning and execution, including blitz campaigns
  • Be the product specialist and trusted advisor to Volo customers within a given territory
  • Responsible for the full sales cycle, initiation of proposals, quotes and negotiations to close
  • Perform territory planning quarterly
  • Pursue professional and personal development to ensure adequate knowledge of the markets and industries at hand
  • Correspond with off shore teams a required

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote customer participation in marketing events such as trade shows highlighting Volo Culture

LOCATION:  Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary

  • Working remotely may be an option for the right candidate
  • Travel required 30%
